Laurence Ambrose Brown (November 1, 1907 in Basingstoke – 1993) was Bishop of Birmingham from 1969 to 1977.〔The Times, 23 January 1970, "Church News: Two New Bishops Appointed"〕 Brown was the son of F.J. Brown and was educated at Luton Grammar School, Queens' College Cambridge and Cuddesdon Theological College, Oxford.
